I love Rice Crispy Treats! I recently made Cheddar Baked Chicken and the recipe calls for a small amount of Rice Krispies cereal so I had almost an entire box left over. "What to do?" , I thought to myself. Lightbulb: Make Rice Crispy Treats! Rice Crispy Treats are one of my childhood favorites and my Mom used to make them all the time. Of course, hers were always delicous! She never failed to get just the right consistency! Some people prefer their treats gooey while others prefer them crunchy. Either way they are sure to be a big hit!
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons of butter
1 package of regular marshmellows (10 oz.)
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
Directions:
In a large sauce pan melt the butter over low heat. Add marshmellows and stir until completely melted. Add Rice Krispies cereal and stir until well coated. Using a buttered spatula or wax paper press the mixture evenly on to a 13x9 inch pan coated with nonstick spray (or use aluminum foil as pictured). Let cool then cut into squares. Enjoy!
